Jyotirao Phule
Jyotirao phule was born in 11 april 1827 in maharashtra. His father name govind rao phule. He was a vegetable vendor. His mother
passed away when he was nine months old jyotirao phule is now regarded as
a major social reformer of 19th century in maharashtra.
Jyoti rao phule considered the varna system(वर्ण व्यवस्था ) and vedas ( वेदों )futile. He opposed brahminism and told the shudras how they were being exploited by brahmins. Jyoti rao phule was the mentor of b.r ambedkar. Jyoti rao phule was the first person who keep their views on the caste system and oppose the caste system
A book ghulamgiri was written by jyoti rao phule in 1873, which explains the caste lows. Jyoti rao phule's essay on caste laws is divided into three parts.the first part describes brahmanism and its history. The second part describes brahmanism and its unimaginable powers and special rights. The third part analyzes the continuous domination of brahmanism from casteism. The failure of the government to get rid of and the ways of giving the shudras their rights are explained.
First Part
The brahmins are descendants of aryan invaders who displaced the original inhabitants of india brahmin pride is full of ingenuity and high perception. Brahmins use chandal shudra and mahar words for tribals. Brahmins had a cruel and injustice attitude towards the shudras. The brahmins subjugated the tribals by their unimaginable powers and through myths
In the second part of the essay
Phule explained how the brahmins exercised their
exclusive rights and all powers for their victory over the tribals and
deprived the pure from their authority.
In the third part of the essay
The government did not do proper work for the rights of the tribals. How can tribals get their rights the tribals should get fair and equal opportunities, they should get the right to education. They told that only by getting educated can be overcome from all these evils.
