MONOLOGUE

A Monologue Is A Lengthy Speech By A Single Person .it Is A One Sided Conversation. The Greek Origin Of The Word Means Speaking Alone In The Sense When One Person Does All The Talking For Example  Giving A Speech In Radio Or Television Teacher Giving A Lecture To The Student In Classroom A Boss In An Office May Give Some Instructions In The Forms Of Monologue

Types Of Monologue

SOLILOQUY 

  • A long speech given by a character
  • Person is alone at stage 
  • The character is talking to him or herself.

Interior Monologue

It Is Also Known As Inner Voice Internal Speech On Verbal Stream Of Consciousness Is Thinking In Words It Is Also Refers To The Semi Constant Internal Monologue it Is The Expression Of Characters Thoughts Feeling And Impression In A Narrative For Example Guide, Commentator , presenter Etc

Dramatic Monologue

A Poetic Form In Which A Single Character Addressing A Silent Auditor At A Critical Moment Reveals Himself Or Herself And The Dramatic Situation A Dramatic Monologue Is A Long Expert In A Play Poem Or Story That Reveals A Character Thoughts And Feelings

Dialogue

A Verbal Exchange Between Two Or More People dialogue Can Be Various Kind Depending On The Context. Dialogue Are Democratic In Nature. The Most Important Fact Of A Dialogue Is To Taking Turns That Is The Speaker Is Not Always A Speaker But Speaks For A While And Then Let The Other Person Come Up With His Or Her Ideas Queries Response Etc Dialogue Is Come To A Conclusion.


GROUP DISCUSSION

In Group Discussion, More Than 3 Or 3 People Participate, In Which Individuals Put Their Own Views On A Subject And Work Together As A Teamwork On That Topic. Nowadays Group Discussion Is Used To Select A Candidate For A Job, Along With The Written Test Experience Qualification, The Leadership Qualities In The Candidate Is Measured In The Ability To Solve Problems And To Manage Human Resources.


This Step Should Kept In Mind While Group Discussion

  • Think and speak rationally and logically
  • Able to think instantly
  • Speak in a simple straight forward language
  • Clarity of ideas and presentation skills is a must in a GD
  • Nonverbal communication is also significant in GD our

  • Analytical abilities are also looked for in a GD


LEADERSHIP QUALITY IN GD

Leadership Is A Must In A Professional World Leadership Does Not Only Mean That One Is Ahead Of The Others But It Is Suggest How One Can Accommodate The Interest Of As Many People As Possible And Steer The Boat Forward. It Is Very Important For A Leader To Come Along With Speaking And Listening. The Leader Should Understand And Coordinate The Views Of Everyone Who Has Participate. The Leader Should Ask Everyone For Their Views And Give A Good Direction To The Group Discussion And Come To The Conclusion

Interview Is The Process Of Selecting Someone. Interview Can Be Term As An Oral Tool To Test The Academic And Non Academic Credentials For Employment Or Entry To An Academic Institutions Usually Any Employer Would Like To Figure Out Before Employing Anyone Whether The Person Is Suitable For Employment And Whether He Or She Will Serve The Purpose For Which He Or She Will Be Recruited Similarly And Academic. Interviews Try To Find Out If The Applicant Is Suitable The Interview Is Purpose Of Evaluation. Usually interviews are taken by a panel of experts and it is essential that one maintains and eye contact with almost all members of the panel.


Following Things Should Be Kept In Mind While Facing An Interview

  • Interview is a formal occasion . therefore you must try to put forward clothes which is formal and give a nice impression about you
  • Your Behaviour Should Be Polite Not To Be Rude Or Over Confident
  • Your communication should show your confidence and conviction in what you speak
  • Your Non-verbal Cues Should Match Your Words And At No Time You Should Show With Your Gestures Or Facial Expression
  • That You Are Getting Irritated Or Board Or Aloof To What The Interviewers Are Enquiring About
  • You Should Know Your Subject Well And Able To Deliver It
  • And before the facing panellists you should ask yourself three things
  • Do you know yourself ,Do you know about the company or institution, Do you know the job profile.


PUBLIC SPEECH OR PRESENTATION

Public speech or presentation is one such forms of mass communication where one addresses a large gathering of People. giving a speech is a craft and it is very useful in a professional life.A leader has the art to address a large audience. There are various kinds of job throughout the world where the art of addressing mass is a prerequisite. Public speech is different from presentations in the sense that in public speech one is speaking to divergent mass whose background one is not aware of where as in presentation one is speaking to select group of people who are academic and professional background are more or less similar to you and who have similar interest. So, a presentation is a different nature then the public speech

In a presentation weather in a classroom or an office or a boardroom one has to keep in mind as various things they are –

  • Time limit keeping within the time limit is necessary as audience time should be valued 
  • Prepare yourself by writing 
  • Nonverbal cues are very important during presentations as one's body language facial expressions posters etc speak a lot about what one intends to say
  • Keep focus on the main point
  • A presentation ending with a bang always is significant it makes the audience have a strong impression about you as well as your presentation
